Join us for a night of oh so sensual music, colorful cocktails, light buffet fare, networking and fantastic book previews. Each guest receives a holiday gift bag of treats and a featured book. Hosted by EDC Creations.

ALL tickets are $18.00 per person and includes gift bag, light food, drinks and a featured book. Ticket sale is closed. No refunds available. No one under 21 allowed. East Coast Authors, you are invited to read from your books for exactly 5 minutes, with a  5 minute interview by Ella Curry.  The autograph party will take place in the last 3 hours. You are welcome to sell your books and mingle with the bookclubs. You may add your promotional material to the gift bags. The authors keep all book sales!  You can bring books and postcards, but no signs  or large promotional items allowed. Please note this is NOT a booksigning. You will not have a table to setup. This is a holiday party that can be used to network!  You will showcase your books to the bookclubs and have an opportunity to sell the books. Bring change for book sells and business cards or postcards. Do not bring more than 20 books. We donot have anyone to watch the books for  you. You will sell your own books and keep the money.

Booklovers, you are asked to join us and enjoy the wonderful literary presentation. We want to introduce you to great books, to give as gifts this holiday season, and to consider as your books of the month. The bookclub with the most members at the party will win a huge bag of newly released books! You may view photos of one of our previous  casual events below.  Tell all your friends and neighbors!  We have close to 300 books to giveaway at this time!   We want to meet all the local Maryland, DC and Virginia bookclubs. Hey if you are on the East Coast and can drive to DC, come and join us too!

Activities:

One lucky party-goer will win the $250.00 Holiday Giveaway!  Three groups will win gift bags filled with books for the must ticket sales!

7-8:00 pm        Bookclub Mix and Mingle
8-10:00pm      Meet the Authors; Readings; Games
10-12:00am    Author Book Sale and Dancing**; Gift bag giveaway

We did not block off a set of rooms for this event.  We expect most people to drive in for the event and return to their homes.  There are NO payments at the door. Bring your printed tickets to the door. NO ONE admitted without a printed ticket.  No excuses!  The music will be a mix of HipHop, Ole Skool R&B and vintage Christmas tunes.

**Dancing will be determined by the size of the group. All attendees will leave with MORE than $18.00 worth of books. This is a networking event as well as a party, bring plenty of business cards!

Directions to the Embassy Suites Hotel

From the North - Travel south on I-95 to the split at Maryland I-495/I-95 South. Signs will say Washington/Andrews AFB. Continue to Exit 22B, which is the Baltimore Washington Parkway South. Proceed approximately 6 miles and turn right onto route 50 West (New York Ave). Continue approximately 6 miles on New York Avenue until 10th St. NW. Make a left turn onto 10th St. NW. The Embassy Suites will be on your right hand side on 10th St. NW, just past K St.

From the South - Travel north on I-95 to I-395N into Washington DC, following signs for the Convention Center and the 12th Street exit. Exit at 12th Street/Convention Center and follow 12th Street. Make a right turn onto K Street, and proceed to the 10th and K Street NW Intersection. The hotel entrance will be on the right at 10th Street.

From the Metro - Take the Blue, Orange or Red line to Metro Center. Follow signs for the 11th Street and G Street exits. Make a right onto 11th Street, and head north for 3 blocks. Make a right onto New York Avenue, then a left onto 10th Street NW. The hotel is on the left, in between New York Avenue and K Street NW, located on 10th Street NW.

No poetry books or non-fiction books showcased at this time. We will bring these genres in for the New Years Party. Room number of the party will be sent via personal email.
